We have always excelled at Strength Training. Our approach has always been on building as much muscle as possible as efficiently as possible (capitalizing on local fatigue).

In recent years, new forms of intensity training have emerged that utilize exercises considered "functional" in that they challenge the body in ways you are more likely to encounter in everyday life. This approach creates exercise intensity by peforming a variety of movements and allowing little-to-no rest. When you place that kind of demand on the body, all the easy fuel (blood and muscle sugars) are used up very quickly. Once the easy fuels are used up, you will struggle perform at the same level you could only minutes before. This is global fatigue. Your heart and lungs can only keep up with so much energy expenditure. Beyond that point, you are going to be causing some microtrauma to the tissue and simultaneously pushing your cardiopulmonary system to adapt.

When these programs started to gain in popularity, we naturally had to take a closer look to see how it is being done. Through this, Motion Training was born. LIke the other programs, Motion Training utilizes global fatigue and muscle confusion techniques. However, our approach is different than the others in the same way our strength training is different--our focus on technique. With fewer participants (four max) we can focus on form and individualization. Not only that, but dialing in all the vairables to effectively use local fatigue is much more difficult in comparison and has really enhanced our understanding of the body, making it very easy to design effective Motion workouts.
